cvepolymath (she/they)

Hello. My name is Clara Engler, also known as ‘cve’ in online spaces. I am a mathematician and philosopher with code being my preferred medium of art. My interests include algebra, cryptography, existentialism, OpenBSD, and systems programming.

I view my work as artistic output, therefore despising "quick and dirty solutions". Solving problems does not interest me. The approach to solve a certain problem does.

The following contains the software that I actively work upon:

funion
A Tor implementation in Elixir

The following contains the software that I consider to be completed:

bunny
A Rosenpass initiator implementation in Elixir
chexit
An IPv4 and IPv6 exit address scanner for the Tor network
curvy
A brute-force vanity onion address searcher
litev
A minimal event notification library, similar to event(3)
mastomail
Converts recent Mastodon statuses into a plain-text mail
spack
A minimal Space API checker
yhttp
A small C library implementing an HTTP/1.1 server

Rosenpass (2023 – present)
The Tor Project (2022 – present)
cURL (2019 – 2023)
  • Participant at the "curlUP" conferences in 2020, 2021, and 2022
  • Reimplemented the ‘--help’ menu in 2020
  • Various bug fixes from time to time

I do enjoy photography every now and then. Since August 2024, I also do analogous photography using 35mm films. Some of my pictures can be found on pic.cve.cx.

Does not understand sarcasm very well. May occasionally dump information on various topics without prior notification. Emits a "meow" in random intervals.
